Vinyl Coated Polyester (VCP)

Vinyl Coated Polyester, also known as PVC coated polyester, is a tough mesh fabric that is coated with molten making it waterproof with a high resistance to dirt, mildew, oil, salt, chemicals, and UV. Its great strength means it will not tear, stretch, crack, or rot. Select VCP materials meet NFPA 701 and CAN/ULC-S109 flammability specifications. VCP is used in Soper’s Softwall enclosures, partitions, and curtains.

Vinyl Laminated Polyester (VLP)

Vinyl Laminated Polyester is a tough scrim fabric that is laminated between two layers of vinyl. VLP can be an excellent, cost-effective alternative to VCP when conditions allow for its use. Typically, VLP can be used only indoors and is not quite as flexible as VCP. VLP meets necessary flame specifications and is resistant to dirt, mildew, oil, salt, chemicals, and UV.

Polyvinylchloride (PVC)

Polyvinylchloride is a popular plastic that is cost-efficient, flexible, and durable. It is waterproof with a high resistance to dirt, mildew, chemicals, and flame. PVC is available in clear or welding colours and is ideal for curtains, welding screens, and strip curtains.

Woven Polyethyene

Woven Polyethylene fabrics provide extremely high tensile and tear strength in relation to its light weight. It is resistant to tearing, rot, mildew, and most chemicals and is also moisture proof. Woven Polyethylene meets NFPA 701 flammability specifications and is used in Soper’s curtains and fabric air ducts.

Acoustical Materials

Industrial quilted Fibreglass absorbers are soft, porous, open celled materials that are used to reduce the reflection of sound waves. As a result, reverberation time and ambient noise levels are reduced. They are lightweight and flexible and are Class 1 fire rated.

Industrial noise control barriers are loaded vinyl barriers that combine mass, flexibility and limpness to block noise from transmitting from one area to another.

Industrial composite absorber/barrier offers maximum noise reduction in any application by combining sound absorption and noise barrier materials.

Fibreglass

Fibreglass is material made from extremely fine fibres of glass. Soper’s Fibreglass materials contain specialized coatings to resist high temperatures (meets flammability specifications) and abrasion and are 100% free of asbestos.

Neoprene

Neoprene, also known as polychloroprene, is a synthetic rubber with good chemical stability. It maintains flexibility over a wide temperature range (meets flammability specifications) and is used in Soper’s curtains and bellows.

Cotton Duck

Cotton duck, commonly referred to as “canvas”, is a heavy, plain woven cotton fabric ideal for curtains and covers. Soper’s provides a cotton duck that is both flame and water resistant.

PTFE Coated Fibreglass

Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) Fibreglass is an architectural fabric with excellent UV, weather, and chemical resistance. Ideal for outdoor applications, PTFE Fibreglass is a self-cleaning material as airborne particles, dirt and debris do not readily cling to it. Used primarily in Soper’s tension membrane structures, PTFE Fibreglass meets rigid fire and building codes.

ePTFE Fibre Membrane

Expanded PTFE, or ePTFE, is a woven form of PTFE that creates a mesh-like structure. Having many of the characteristics of PTFE Coated Fibreglass, ePTFE also has excellent translucency and allows up to 40% light transmission. Used primarily in Soper’s tension membrane structures, ePTFE meets rigid fire and building codes.

HDPE Knitted

High-density polyethylene (HDPE) is a heavy-duty knitted shade cloth designed for large tension membrane structures. Its great strength provides protection against harsh environmental conditions such as wind, rain, hail, dust, and UV exposure and is flame retardant.

PVC Coated Mesh

PVC Coated Mesh is a durable PVC-coated woven polyester mesh used in Soper’s tension membrane structures. Finished on both sides with a weldable acrylic lacquer for protection and ease of fabrication, the textile offers flame retardancy and resistance to weathering, strength and reliability in an attractive, open mesh.
